I would imagine they are good in the snow? How about on ice? Do you need to buy special chains for the tires and is there any way to attatch a plow to one? We live in the north east and the last winter got tons of snow and our driveway is steep and can be very icy. In addition to fun use, I'm also wondering how practical they are.
Thank you.:)

I live in the North at the top of a very curvy hill. At first I thought that I would have a problem, but they really are like tanks.
I think if you are worried about not being able to get to certain places, like if you lived in Colorado talk to your tire dealer and see what they have to offer.

I live in Canada, snows like almost everyday except for the summer. Though I was wondering that too.

I did a bit of searching and found this site and a guy who said it wasn't all that easy to get the Hummer fit for the plow. He had to special order it. But he liked it after he had it put on.

Unless the snow is extreme you're not going to have any problems. The Hummer is well capable to handle it.

I've seen a few videos of a hummer driving prefectly in huge snow drifts, you should be fine.

Well sorry I live way down south, about 60 miles south from New Orleans. We dont have snow but lots of mud! Sofar It has not seen the mud I keep it away from that! I do some riding in woods over fallen trees and such. It will go over anything I point the front end to.

Just make sure the tires are threaded good for ice!

I never thought about hooking up a plow to the front, but a nice wide one seems like it would do better than a truck.....certainly be more fun :)

They're like army vehicles. You don't have to worry about snow or steep roads. They can take it with ease.

he hummer is a heavy vehicle, so it handles better in icy conditions than a light one will. Still its a dangerous vehicle if you don't know how to drive one in ice.

I don't think so. I suppose this vehicle at times, can't be easier to fit the plow. I don't own one, But I know my friend's struggle with that. I actually got used with this truck only by him ;)

Well, any vehicle is dangerous to operate in icy conditions. I'm just saying that the hummer is more prepared than others.

They look enough like tanks that they should do good on any terrain.

It would be pretty sweet to put some chains on your tires and go out in the snow with an H2!
Don't worry your hummer will work.
you don't have to worry about it ,it will work in winter as well.

The Hummer works well in the snow, but just like every vehicle it does have certain limitations. I have never had any problems with it in the snow though.
