hummer h1 discontinued

Does anyone know about the Hummer h1 being discontinued?

This is the first I've heard of it. WIll be interesting to learn more. Could it be a fuel issue?

From what I could find online the h1 was discontinued sometime in 2006.
It wasn't because of the rise in fuel prices but because they thought the h2 and h3 had broader appeal.

That's interesting. I wonder how the prices will appreciated for the collectors.

I forget which model the CNN Hummer was last year at the Barrett-Jackson auction, although I'm sure part of that vehicle's appeal was its history with CNN.

I heard about it and it saddened me. I think the H1 was a really cool car.

I am sure they are still making original Humvees for the military, but this will definitely make them a collector's item for regular drivers.
